About the Role
We are looking for a Principal Engineer with a strong background in embedded systems and audio domain. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in audio-related product development based on embedded Linux systems or Phone/Car media domains. This role requires a professional who can lead and mentor a team, ensuring high-quality code and effective debugging of complex issues.
What You Will Do
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of audio software solutions.
- Collaborate with software technical leaders and other team members to evaluate and propose solutions.
- Ensure the highest software quality by verifying the implementation and design.
- Proactively solve problems and work closely with peers or vendors.
- Take ownership of critical tasks and lead the team to achieve project goals in terms of time, quality, and cost.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant disciplines.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in software development of embedded Linux systems.
- Rich experience and solid know-how in the audio domain, including Linux ALSA, audio processing (e.g., encode/decode, audio channel split, upmix/downmix), multiple devices audio synchronization algorithms, and audio clock tuning for high performance.
- Proven experience and capability in software design based on embedded Linux systems.
- Proficiency in programming with C/C++.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex issues.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Bonus Points if You Have
- Basic hardware knowledge, familiar with general hardware interfaces, and the ability to understand schematics and debug basic hardware issues with tools like an oscilloscope.
- Rich experience with audio products like SoundBar, Speaker, or media system in mobile or car.
