About the Role
The Strategic Customer Marketing Lead develops and executes marketing strategies supporting HARMAN Automotive’s product portfolio for C-OEMs and JVs, with a focus on branded car audio systems and audio brands as core elements of the in-cabin experience and in support of product discussions. The role leads OEM-focused marketing materials, market-facing communications, and OEM-specific and local marketing strategies in close collaboration with Customer Account Management, including defining audio branding strategies for specific C-OEM customers based on China market context and HARMAN’s brand value proposition. This position ensures China market requirements are met while maintaining alignment with global automotive marketing, brand, and communications standards.
What You Will Do
- Develop and lead the creation and execution of the China marketing strategy in support of the China growth and global automotive marketing strategies.
- Develop and oversee execution of OEM-specific marketing, activation, and Go-To-Market plans aligned with CAM targets, OEM care-abouts, and regional business priorities.
- Serve as the regional strategic marketing lead and subject matter expert for branded car audio systems and audio brands, positioning them as core elements of the in-cabin experience.
- Collaborate with CAM and SBU teams to identify and position the most appropriate HARMAN brands for each customer.
- Localize business objectives into compelling value propositions, brand narratives, and sales enablement assets that support winning new business.
- Drive the creation and localization of OEM-focused marketing materials, executive presentations, and customer-facing communications in coordination with Central Marketing Services.
- Lead cross-brand integration across HARMAN Automotive and Lifestyle businesses, activating portfolio synergies to strengthen OEM storytelling and experiential engagement.
- Plan and execute customer-facing activations (e.g., technical customer demos, listening events, showcases, regional Harman Explore events) and market-facing programs not covered by global teams.
- Provide China market insights, customer expectations, competitive intelligence, and trend analysis to inform global marketing strategy and product positioning.
- Represent the China market perspective in global planning, prioritization, and program discussions while advocating for local needs.
- Manage local agencies, budgets, localization, and execution quality, ensuring alignment with global brand, EPIC, design, and marketing standards.
What You Need to Be Successful
- 10+ years of experience in marketing within automotive, technology, or related B2B industries.
- Experience partnering with OEM customers and/or working within OEM supplier or OEM marketing organizations.
- Strong capability in content creation, messaging development, and communication planning.
- Experience working with local agencies and managing external vendors.
- Business-level Mandarin Chinese and English, written and verbal.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field; advanced degree (MBA) preferred.
Bonus Points if You Have
- Knowledge of key China digital and social platforms (e.g., WeChat, Weibo, Douyin) and relevant automotive/technology industry platforms.
- Experience in global or matrixed organizations.
- Familiarity with branded car audio or automotive technology marketing.

Dependent on the position offered, other forms of compensation are also available, such as bonuses or commission.
Pay is based on a wide range of factors, including, without limitation, skill set, experience, training, location, and business need.
