About the Role:

We are looking for an adventurous, passionate, and accomplished UI/UX designer with world class design sensibility to join our design team in Shenzhen, China.

The right candidate loves music as we do, brings a fresh perspective on design & innovation and has the ability to understand and translate latest fashion, interior and cultural design trends into iconic product experiences for Harman’s iconic brands, including JBL, Harman Kardon and AKG.

You will take responsibility in projects with hands-on design skilling in a very fast-paced, collaborative environment. You understand that great design and details brings value to our customers as well as builds strong brands.

What You Will Do:

  • Move fast, open-minded, make critical decisions, and take ownership. Continually push for better result.
  • Ability to convey concepts through logical wireframes, flows and mockups and transform them into beautiful interfaces and experiences.
  • Ability to cope with diversity of projects and brands in innovative audio field.
  • Follow latest trend in technology and experience and bring them into audio industry.
  • Communicate across GPLM, SW engineers and other different functions, and to lead project team and make important decisions for better project outputs and results.
  • Bring beautiful digital and tangible user experiences into audio industry.
  • The ability to adapt yourself in changes and make timely decision.
  • Spot lifestyle tendencies and turn them into new interfaces and experiences along with multidisciplinary team.
  • You will play an active role in our Design Team and be part of an eclectic group of great designers in an international environment.
  • Understand the whole picture and complexity of the project and simplify the complexity into logical wireframes or user flows.

What You Need:

  • 8+ years of experience in the field of UI design with an impressive portfolio.
  • Experience building wireframe, flow, interfaces, experiences and brands.
  • Communicational knowledge in software and programing in order to better communicate and give instructions to engineers.
  • The ability to lead other project team members, willing to share ideas and solve problems in a creative and efficient approach.
  • Deep knowledge of relevant software, tools, and processes.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills in both Chinese and English.
  • A person with great eyes for details.
  • Highly driven and proactive self-starter - taking on a task without much context and driving it through to the end.
  • The ability to work seamlessly with leaders across functions.
  • Ability to multi-task many projects and products at once.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in UI Design.
  • Love for Design & Music.
  • An outgoing character with an excellent sense of humor.
