About the Role

Sr. RFQ Manager Project Lead Hardware is responsible for lead RFQ/RFI/CCR tasks for HW domains. You will closely work together with the global RFQ team to delivery in time, in quality and in cost proposals for HW domains ICBU. You will also fully responsible for ensuring all the HW domains input for the RFQ/RFI process technically correct, and financially robustness. You will also be required to work external suppliers together with sourcing team to get good benchmark and define the best cost and quality supplier strategies.


What You Will Do

  • Responsible to deliver RFQ/RFI of HW Domains in high quality, in time and in cost.
  • Work closely global RFQ team, local CG team, and be led HW domains, to ensure transparency in communication, robustness in technical proposal, and competitiveness in cost.
  • Lead the cross functional teams including engineering, product validation, quality, procurement to successfully develop the product for the assigned RFQs.
  • Collaborate across the functional groups in a matrix organization defining RFQ requirements, setting priorities, and establishing the RFQ scope.
  • Closely working with source team to define related strategical suppliers, get sufficient market benchmarking and ensure parts, service and equipment delivery meet project profitability, project timing and requirements.
  • Manage cross functional dependencies, risks, and changes effectively by optimizing the scope, schedule, and resources accordingly.
  • Define and optimize the RFQ process internal HW domains, define, track and analyze key metrics and key quality and performance indicators and drive cross functional RFQ deliverables.
  • Manage RFQ escalation and problem resolutions covering the RFI/RFQ process.
  • Develop and communication plans to effectively communicate RFQ status, issues, and risks to stakeholders.
  • Responsible for driving HW-PL target alignment, cost improvement initiatives, and best practices synergies.

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering or equivalent
  • 12+ years of experience leading automotive projects
  • Previous experience leading project team or engineering team
  • Experience in leading electro-mechanical system development covering thermal requirements.
  • Knowledge in PLM methodologies, PM processes in project execution and management.

What is Nice to Have

  • Masters in electrical engineering or equivalent engineering
  • Experience in developing Infotainment and ADAS platforms
  • Exposure to Hardware, RF and Thermal simulations in automotive applications
  • Broad intercultural experience and excellent communication skills
  • Certification as Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar

  • This position requires the use of a HARMAN or customer-owned vehicle.
