About the Role
The position is responsible for providing legal support for HARMAN’s Automotive global organization focusing on HARMAN’s sales and operations, including support for the Customer Account Management (“CAM”), as well as local procurement. In addition, he/she will also support all SBUs of Automotive division and corporate functions, including the finance, human resources, sales and/or supply chain functions.
The position requires the ability to support negotiations, deliver timely legal support and handle assigned matters with a growing level of independence. The position demands a solid understanding of HARMAN’s business operations, internal stakeholders and the legal considerations impacting key business activities. The role works closely with the senior legal counsel and business teams to provide practical, commercially oriented legal support, assist in contract drafting and negotiations, and contribute to day‑to‑day operational priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
What You Will Do
- Review, draft, and negotiate of a wide variety of commercial agreements and amendments.
- Serve as a trusted legal advisor embedded within Automotive business teams, providing practical, solution‑oriented legal support.
- Support and enhance the Automotive contract strategy, RFQ processes, including updating and maintaining RFQ offer templates and negotiation frameworks.
- Handle commercial disputes with customers and suppliers, including assisting with litigation, arbitration, or mediation matters, and coordinating with external counsel as required.
- Collaborate with local and functional stakeholders on ongoing projects and business initiatives, providing legal input on identified risks and issues.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of standardized templates, playbooks, and internal guidelines to improve efficiency and consistency of commercial legal support.
- Prepare or coordinate internal trainings for employees on relevant legal topics.
- Assist with corporate, M&A, and other legal matters as assigned.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Law Degree from a reputable law school with PRC bar admission.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably gained from a law firm or in‑house environment; experience with automotive, manufacturing, or technology‑related matters is a plus.
- Sound foundation in drafting and reviewing commercial agreements under PRC and/or international practice.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with business teams and legal colleagues.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, follow through on assignments, and respond to business needs in a timely manner.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to exercise sound judgment with appropriate supervision.

Dependent on the position offered, other forms of compensation are also available, such as bonuses or commission.
Pay is based on a wide range of factors, including, without limitation, skill set, experience, training, location, and business need. While the above range is a reasonable estimate of the wage range for this position, please note the disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographical differential associated with the location where the position may be filled.
