About the Role
As an ADAS Test & Validation Engineer, you will support ADAS testing and validation activities in China, including vehicle preparation, test execution, and data analysis. You will collaborate with system suppliers, platform teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure requirements are validated and project milestones are achieved. You will contribute to requirement-based testing, scenario definition, and system and vehicle-level validation activities.
What You Will Do
- Understanding of ADAS vehicle and system requirements
- Generating test procedures for every single requirement and building test matrix.
- Prototype vehicle builds support/ checks and ADAS sign-off.
- Coordination of ADAS system supplier in China with client and platform owner in China. Leading common activities and communicating with clients.
- Prepare the ADAS vehicles for test (vehicle checks, troubleshooting, instrumentation) and keep them up to date as ADAS representative in all different locations
- Perform system & vehicle level ADAS test and data collection including subjective and objective assessment.
- Open and track Jira ticket and communicate with feature owner and supplier.
- Support, organize and/or lead all location test activities, joint tests on-site.
- Support pre-homologation and official homologation activities on-site.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Automotive Engineering
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in ADAS Test & Validation
- Strong knowledge of ADAS features, sensors and hands-on experience with ADAS integration
- Good understanding of GSR2 and UNECE regulations related to ADAS features and requirements
- Fundamental knowledge of functional safety standards, including ISO 26262 and SOTIF
- Hands-on experience in ADAS Verification & Validation testing
- Experience in preparing vehicles for ADAS testing including instrumentation setup, compliance with legal requirements for open-road testing, on-vehicle troubleshooting, and coordination with cross-functional teams• Practical experience with Vector tools (CANape, CANalyzer, CANoe, vFlash) for flashing and data acquisition
- Experience with data collection using OxTS systems (RT & RT-Range), including both objective and subjective evaluation methods & Experience in 3D balloon target setup and use of 4A 3D dynamic platforms for AEB testing
- Ability to derive, define, and execute test scenarios and procedures based on vehicle- and system-level requirements• Experience in systems & requirements engineering for ADAS features preferably experience with Codebeamer
- Good understanding of vehicle communication networks, subsystems, and ADAS-related external interfaces
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and interdisciplinary teams, with a mindset for process improvement
- Excellent coordination and communication skills; native Chinese, fluent English required
- Candidate must be based in China and legally authorized to live and work in China, with valid Chinese driving license.
