About the Role

We are looking for a principal software engineer with a strong background in mobile and embedded systems. The ideal candidate should have strong practical experience in embedded system development, and be familiar with machine learning, edge AI and algorithms in device.

What You Will Do

• Collaborate with the technical leader on software design, system evaluation, and propose solutions.
• Work closely with software and other function teams to ensure project goals are met in terms of time, quality, and cost.
• Study and implement algorithm according system/product requirements; verify the implementation to ensure the highest quality.
• Proactively solve problems in collaboration with peers or vendors.
• Demonstrate strong collaboration, judgment, and results-driven mindset to achieve business targets.

What You Need

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in software development, particularly in the context of embedded systems.
• Excellent mindset and know-how on software High/Low level design and implementation.
• Deep understanding and practical experience with Linux systems, including kernel, drivers, ALSA.
• Experience on algorithm for environmental awareness, locating, distance measurements, body and/or gesture detection, motion detection etc.
• Domain knowledge on machine learning and edge AI and practiced experience on embedded device.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and experience in addressing issues and performance improvement.
• Comfortable with fast-paced and multitasking environment.

What is Nice to Have

• Familiar with electronic schematic reading. Able to do software bring-up on product PCBA according to corresponding hardware design.
• Strong learning capability and interest on new technologies.
• Self-motivated, deep thinking with open minded, strong willingness to make difference.
