About the Role  

Supply Chain manager is responsible for full visibility of supply planning from operations perspective and on time / on quality delivery, and is key to bridge the gap between regional demand and supply by cooperating among different functional teams, customers, project management, quality and suppliers. What’s more, he or she also needs lead planning team activities and be first escalation for internal customers, regions, in case of demand vs supply issues.

What You Will Do

  • Manage Supply Chain Planning function to achieve predefined KPIs
  • Represent GSCM as focal contact person for assigned region(s) and lead regular Supply Chain Planning related meetings
  • Manage pertinent Supply Chain Planning activities throughout the product lifecycle including new launch, running products, phase in and EOL stages by working proactively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of supply planning and demand fulfilment strategies
  • Track and trace long lead time liability commitments for both components and finished goods decommitted as a result of forecast inacuracies and work closely with all concerned parties to mitigate working capital impacts
  • Accountable for review and approval of Purchase Orders to external ODM suppliers upto USD1M per transaction; review and recommend for next level approvals for transaction >USD1M
  • Support Finance team for excess inventory management and reconciliation of reserve provisions
  • Determine supply allocations in occasion of Global supply shortages
  • Responsible for supply planning exception management i.e pull in/push outs
  • Provide feedback to suppliers by setting scorecards and monitor supplier performance and conduct joint review meetings with sourcing
  • Support all Corporate Projects and meet deadlines for assigned tasks
  • Provide best support to facilitate accuracy of SAP master data maintenance pertaining to supply planning and provide timely feedback to S&OP team and/or regions for any change requirements
  • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives and work closely with Operations Excellence function to enhance work efficiency and productivity
  • Maintain Supply Chain Planning standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions (WIs) to facilitate user training, cross-team backup and best practices sharing
  • Analyze and report KPIs including but not limited to supplier performance; on time delivery, container utilization, forecast accuracy, backorder and airfreight activities etc.
  • Exercise leadership and managerial skills through effective problem solving, decision making, coaching, delegation and talent development
  • Ensure data accuracy and timely execution of assigned reports on time every time
  • Identify and escalate potential risk areas timely with sound recommendations
  • Perform tasks as and when required by the supervisor

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain and/or Business Management with minimum 10 years of global supply chain planning experience in electronics industry or FMCG
  • Minimum 3 years of people management experience with MNCs
  • Proven customer and supplier relationship management skills
  • Effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin with fluent verbal and written communication skills, Cantonese speaking is a plus
  • Strong inter-personal and communication skills, used to work under stress
  • Strong knowledge in SAP system and Microsoft Offices applications
