About the Role

The position is in the Home Audio of Harman Lifestyle. The Category Communications Manager takes the lead on the global marketing communication strategy for Lifestyle Home Audio products. He/She creates, with the involvement of the Home audio Global Category Director, the strategic marketing communication landscape for all new product introductions. He/She plans for and executes a wide range of communication and go-to-market tools based on the yearly business plans. He/ she briefs & supervises all the product communication collaterals and is the key BU contact person to the global marketing team – who are responsible for the marketing assets & campaign deliverables. In addition, this role will have various regional commercial responsibilities to drive top-line revenue and growth.

What You Will Do

Draws up communication objectives that contribute to the brand, category, product and MCI (Mission Critical Initiatives) goals

  • Undertakes the appropriate actions in order to meet the goals
  • Streamlines the Marketing & Communication material development
  • Educates and informs regional marketing teams of the marketing communication strategies
  • Is in regular contact with key stakeholders to understand market needs
  • Based on regular input and knowledge sharing from the Category Director, GPLM’s & regional markets has a good understanding of the markets, competitive marketing campaigns & products.
  • Has a clear understanding of the core target audience per category and brand
  • Uses consumer insights and touch points to create targeted marketing activities
  • Leverages brand strengths across all company divisions
  • Managers creative agencies and creates new marketing tools in line with the market and technological development to produce effective marketing materials
  • Assures that all materials created are available and communicated to regional marketing managers (where necessary kept in the MarCom bank)
  • In regular contact with key stake holders to understand areas of improvement
  • Continuously analyze & review current work set up to develop and implement more effective and cost-efficient processes.
  • Regularly benchmarks to ensure vendors and agencies are delivering efficiently, effectively and in-line with the market

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications or other Marketing-related disciplines,
  • At least 5+ years of international marketing communications experience
  • Ability to work effectively within a matrix environment
  • Experience in advertising, online marketing, media strategies and brand management

Dependent on the position offered, other forms of compensation are also available, such as bonuses or commission.

Pay is based on a wide range of factors, including, without limitation, skill set, experience, training, location, and business need. While the above range is a reasonable estimate of the wage range for this position, please note the disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographical differential associated with the location where the position may be filled.
