About the Role
This position serves as a key financial partner for the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, owning budget development, cost control, and financial modeling to safeguard EBIT and revenue targets. You will drive data‑driven insights on product profitability and pipeline opportunities, while supporting R&D finance initiatives and best‑practice tool development across the organization.
What You Will Do
- Prepare New Product Introduction (NPI) program budget development and control.
- Performs and analyzes financial modeling, economic research, trends and studies subjects such as revenue, EBIT, investments, and cost against budget, variance analysis, forecasting, financial planning and expense comparisons by analysis of profit and loss statements.
- Analyze profitability of major product lines and future product pipeline opportunities to aid determination of new products and discontinuation of current products.
- Support business case development and provide analysis for management decision making.
- Monitors NPI projects spending and provide forecast and insight to support operational decision-making.
- Support R&D Finance Improvement initiative workstreams.
- Participate in developing tools, techniques and best practice approaches to support the ongoing development of the R&D Finance Team and the wider Finance community.
What You Need to Be Successful
- 5 years related experience in financial aspects of New Product Development or Introduction (NPD or NPI) processes with the consumer electronics or products industries.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting
- Advanced ERP systems, Excel and Power Point skills. Working knowledge in SAP and Python preferred
- Good verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese.
