About the Role

Lead creation, management, and release of Manufacturing Bill of Materials in Team Center PLM system to ensure production build represents released product information set. 

The key responsibility of this position is to create and release Manufacturing Bill of Materials and associated documentation, ensuring master data governance rules and principles are applied.  Additionally, this role will be the owner of the Manufacturing BOM during the change process for the Manufacturing facility to ensure changes are controlled, released, and implemented successfully.

This role will work across multiple business functions to develop and release Bill of Materials communicating constantly with, Manufacturing Business Unit Leads, Advanced Manufacturing Engineers, Quality representatives, Group Change Analysts and Product Engineers

This role will be a be a subject matter expert in process and tools used to perform job responsibilities.

What You Will Do

  • Create and maintain Manufacturing Bill of Materials, as a key role in engineering and manufacturing change management process through the entire product lifecycle (cradle to grave)
  • Lead as a system and process expert in coordinating the flow of engineering changes to the manufacturing BOM. Tasks include aligning with materials and production teams on implementation dates with regards to the ERP and plant change implementation process
  • Process MBOM changes in Teamcenter based on released or updated Engineering Bill of Materials, documentation updates, or any approved change requests
  • Collaborate with the product and manufacturing engineering teams to manage an accurate manufacturing BOM, according to production processes
  • Align the Manufacturing BOM and documentation to the required Bill of Process (BOP) for the product design in the designated facilities
  • Ensure data standards and process requirements are met
  • Lead and engage as the MBOM owner in change review meetings, to ensure Changes processed to the Manufacturing Bill of Material are released and implemented with high level of quality
  • Act as functional owner of Manufacturing Bill of Materials responsible for structure and content
  • Act as the Manufacturing BOM owner by executing Change Notices to release or update Manufacturing Bill of Material structures or documentation.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge base at a subject matter expert level for change management processes and tools
  • Troubleshoot data integrity issues identified by customers, suppliers, management and seek solutions allowing for resolution
  • Develop strong relationships across multiple levels of the organization, in specific Manufacturing, Materials, Engineering, and Program Management Stakeholders
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for Team Center PLM software
  • Active involvement in identifying continuous improvement ideas for process and tool improvement
  • Actively lead training when necessary to educate team members on Team Center and functional requirements to support the change process.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or manufacturing discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations or change management role
  • Excellent understanding and practical experience with Bill of Material creation and management
  • Excellent understanding with practical experience with Change Management processes and tools
  • Excellent understanding of manufacturing process and technology
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Exceptionally self-motivated and directed while working in teams and motivate others in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and effectively influence team members and associates to adopt new ways of working in a virtual global environment
  • Strong Problem solving/ root cause analysis skills
  • Risk-based thinking knowledge
  • Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Result Driven

Bonus Points if You Have

  • Experience in Team Center PLM Software, SAP ERP Software, MES Software
  • Experience in digital change, process, data, systems, solution design thinking
  • Experience with Electronic and Audio products
  • CMII certification
  • Professional certification in change management / project management
  • Knowledge and application of continuous improvement philosophies
