About the Role
As a Global AME Test Engineer (T3), you will play a key role in developing, harmonizing, and supporting test processes across global manufacturing sites. You will collaborate with international teams to drive test standardization, support new equipment introduction, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. This is an individual contributor role reporting into the AME Test Engineering organization.
What You Will Do
- Support test standardization efforts by contributing to harmonized test methods, documentation, software frameworks, and the Harman Test Platform (HTP).
- Participate in Lessons Learned activities, gathering inputs globally and translating them into improved standards.
- Identify and evaluate new equipment suppliers, including technical assessments and benchmarking.
- Investigate new technologies such as AI-based analytics, automated debugging, and emerging test methodologies.
- Develop and deliver test engineering training for local and global teams.
- Improve test processes including ICT, FCT, EOL, software flashing, and vision-based testing.
- Provide technical support for test systems, software, equipment, and debugging.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python, .NET C#, and LabVIEW.
- Collaborate with AME teams to align test strategies with production needs.
- Maintain controlled test documentation including procedures, test descriptions, and change logs.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external standards (ISO/TS16949 and Harman test specifications).
- Support introduction and validation of new test equipment including correlation and capability analysis.
- Enforce safety, order, ESD, and cleanliness regulations.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in Test Engineering (ICT, FCT, EOL).
- Experience with SPEA, Teradyne, Keysight, NI or similar platforms.
- Programming skills in Python, .NET C#, and LabVIEW.
- Very good English communication skills.
- Experience with international projects, especially with Asian (Chinese) partners.
- Strong skills in data analysis, failure analysis, and use of measurement instruments.
- Knowledge of test architecture, hardware debugging, and test execution processes.
- Familiarity with IIoT and connected test environments.
- Interest or basic exposure to AI/ML-based test methods.
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to work in multicultural environments.
- Structured, analytical, and solution‑oriented working style.
- Basic LEAN knowledge.
Bonus Points if You Have
- Master’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
- Certifications such as Six Sigma, PMP, or LabVIEW/NI certifications.
- Experience working with global teams across multiple regions.
- Knowledge of automotive industry requirements and validation procedures.
- Experience with PLM, PDM, or connected test management systems.

Dependent on the position offered, other forms of compensation are also available, such as bonuses or commission.
Pay is based on a wide range of factors, including, without limitation, skill set, experience, training, location, and business need.
