About the Role

As the Principal Transducer Engineer of Speaker Product team, you will work with team to develop innovative speakers with advanced technology, material, acoustic structure etc. according business justification and roadmap, and work with cross functional teams for the developments to be deliverable and productized achievement.


What You Will Do

  • Coordinate information from upper cross functional team such as ASE, AMP, marketing, GPM, CPM etc., to draft the plan for future advanced products;
  • Keep searching from suppliers and cross-industry to generate creative ideas for advanced performance with new material, acoustic structure or others;
  • Lead team to develop the innovative ideas to be deliverable products which meet automotive speaker requirements;
  • Conduct / upgrade validation plan for speakers with different customer requirements;
  • Define application guideline and best practice for the developed speakers;
  • Build team to be expertized in speaker development and remarkable implementation;
  • Support failure analysis during development phase;
  • Work with project team for smooth transfer from product portfolio to specific project;
  • Ensure good assignment to team members for deliverable targets, personal performance and growth;
  • Develop, coach, and lead team towards achievement of individual and group goals; hire, train, evaluate employee performance;
  • Foster and maintain a positive and collaborative work environment to motivate staff while driving improvement through innovative solutions

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in acoustics, electronics, mechanics or equivalent;
  • 12+ years experiences in speaker engineering;
  • 3+ years experiences in automotive speakers;
  • Knowledge of specification and testing/validation requirements of automotive speakers;
  • Be familiar in using Comsol or other Acoustical simulation tool; be able to simulate T/S parameters, impedance and nonlinear behaviour for different speaker types;
  • Knowledge on speaker components manufacturing process and material;
  • Creative and critical thinking
  • Knowledge on acoustical testing system equipment, test methods;
  • Fluent in English (both writing and verbal);
  • Effective interpersonal skills with customers, peers, leaders, global teams, and industry forums
  • Highly motivated and innovative leader providing guidance to the organization
  • Desire to maintain skills and master new technologies
  • Proven key leadership traits and skills:  collaborative work style, integrity, creativity, objectivity, assertiveness, effectiveness, responsibility, honesty, reliability

What is Nice to Have

  • Experience in speaker system tuning;
  • Knowledge in electrical, especially for audio amp, DSP etc;
  • Knowledge in automotive acoustic system architecture
