About the Role

This role is responsible for leading a team to do microphone system design, tune and optimize end-to-end for Smart Speaker, Conference Speaker, Earphones, Headphone, Helmet, Wireless Mic, TV, and soundbar product category for Harman Embedded Audio, ensuring that microphone system performance will continue to be competitive advantage in all products and solutions.

Your Team

This position will have 2~3 subordinates.

What You Will Do

• Lead the mic system engineering team to deliver NPI projects on time, in budget with quality
• Participate in meetings with customer and system engineer to understand the requirements of new opportunities.
• Provide high level architectural design to meet requirements of PRD (Product Requirements Document)
• Responsible for design, development, optimization, & implementation of voice solution into consumer electronics products
• Develop methodologies and procedures that improve voice performance and quality
• Cooperate with internal team members, customers and suppliers to deliver projects by following the HEA NPI Process
• Set year target to team members and develop team
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.

What You Need

• Bachelor’s degree or above in acoustic, electrical, mechanical or computer science
• 12+ years acoustics background experience
• Full of experience in the mic component design, mic acoustic design, mic algorithm tuning, mic system testing
• Familiar with voice processing of people to people, people to machine, including but not limited to AEC, NR, BF, AGC, EQ, and know the effects of the algorithm parameters
• Understand about the AVS, GVA and TEAMS certification
• Skilled use of various mic design tools, like Soundcheck, AP, HATS, Audacity, etc.
• Good communication skill and show professional knowledge when discuss with the suppliers and customers
• Excellent verbal and written in English
