About the Role

The position is within the Lifestyle Automotive Audio Division. The role is responsible for transducer development which is used in vehicle, including virtual design (simulation), sample validation, cost efficacy check. The role also works closely with global team to present design solutions.


What You Will Do

  • Work with globe team for all Transducer Engineering activities form design concept to end of DV stage.
  • You will frequently communicate with cross functional teams in different countries.
  • Produce all relevant documentation such as Bills of Material’s, Sketches, Simulation data, Acoustic data sheets, DFMEA’s, DVP&R’s and all other documentation required to support the design process.
  • As key participant in all transducers related work, you should participate the problem solving to overcome for all transducer issues and obstacles from RFI/RFQ, concept design, and DV.
  • Keep up to date with the latest developments in world class best practice in relation to audio product design, simulation, analysis and measurements, materials, and manufacturing techniques.
  • Collaboration, and Results Driven are most critical Harman competencies in your role.

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years related experience in transducer designs.
  • Major in Acoustics, Electronics, or other related field.
  • Good written and oral communication skills, particularly in English.
  • Good knowledge of design and manufacturing principle used to create and manufacture transducer.
  • Strong knowledge of FEA techniques for loudspeaker simulation.

What is Nice to Have

  • Master’s degree with 2 years related experience in transducer design.
  • Previous manufacturing operations experience of transducers is plus.
  • Detail oriented demonstrated ability from theoretical to implementation-based thinking.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Background of automotive speaker.
